Balkan Valley, which is one of the hiking routes and is often used for hiking, is located around Ortahisar Castle. There is also a historical building known as the Balkanderesi Church inside.

The Balkan Valley is a named section within a very long valley. This valley includes a road route between İbrahimpaşa and Ortahisar region. The starting route for the valley walk starts in İbrahimpaşa, over an old stone bridge connecting the two banks of the Balkan Stream.
